The Kraken was one of Haliteās first designs and has since become a true classic. Originally created for rescue and maritime tactical applications, it was quickly adopted by the expedition community as the go-to bag whenever maximum gear protection was required.
Its proven design integrates seamlessly with sleds and boats, while the profile and shape provide excellent balance, load distribution, and carrying comfort.
For the new PRO series of Kraken, Halite dedicated two years to developing advanced materials and coatings to deliver the ultimate level of protection for professionals. The bags are built with rugged 1000 denier Cordura combined with a newly developed, thick TPU laminate featuring a specially treated surface. This finish dulls the fabric, adds texture, and enhances both durability and aestheticsāwhile also setting a new benchmark in welding bond strength.
The Krakenās wing-design enables a wide opening for easy access and efficient organization. Internal compression straps secure contents firmly, preventing gear from shifting when carrying or lifting heavy loads.
Double-density shoulder straps provide excellent load transfer and resist packing out, even after extensive water exposure.
As expected, the Kraken is 100% airtight and waterproof, equipped with the new TiZip MasterSeal #10 zipper, which offers greater strength and smoother operation than earlier models. A Halkey Roberts valve allows quick inflation or deflation on demand, ensuring adaptability in any environment.
